I have just directed my first professional Music Promo. A studio piece, beautifully shot on RED by Stuart Bentley for Manchester based band; Performance.
Once the edit was signed off, we gave it to the lovely James Tillett at Prime Focus to grade. After several failed attempts, the video finally passed the 'Harding test' - Many thanks to Sunill for making this happen!

ANIMATING ART HISTORY • THE COURTAULD GALLERY & CSM • December 2009
Animating Art History was a one-day a week, after-school course (which continued as a summer school) run by the Courtauld Institute of Art and Central Saint Martins college of Art & Design.
Abbie Stephens and myself were employed by CSM as student ambassadors, Animation assistants and documentary film-makers for the project.

FUTURE MAP • GRADUATE EXHIBITION • November 2009
My film, Pigsy in Space (D&AD Student Awards Winner 2009) will be shown as part of Future Map 2009 - an exhibition in Hoxton Square, championing emerging creative talent.
When reviewing the exhibition for Murmur Art, Josie Breese wrote this:
"Some artists that naturally stand out - Pigsy in Space by Sam Pilling and Chris Lee is not only conspicuous for it's technically accomplished puppetry but also seems to be a clever comment on the imbalance between expectation, consumption and equivalent reality"

M&C Saatchi / HYPtv 24 Hour Ad Challenge - The brief was to make a 60 second ad for the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), that would communicate that 'The ICA is Now. They activate Now'.
M&C Saatchi champion brutal simplicity, so Tim Keeling & I delivered Brutal simplicity.
(Top 5 of 20) Shortlisted by Alan Yentob, Peter Saville, Patrick Burgoyne, Sophie Fiennes and Graham Fink.
